The Hoyt bows are well built the Pro range are the best bows they make Do you know how old the bow is wheather or not it is Cam and 1/2 they are good if you are new to compound as you can vary draw length on the cam by means of two allen screws.

Do not forget you may also need quite a bit of kit to go with the bow Release aid, sight arrow rest arrows etc which can cost a fair bit unless it is been sold as a set.
