Samick Extreme vs. Border TXB

Hi All,

I would like to gather opinions on the above two sets of limbs. I have just bought a 'new' (thanks munchkin!) riser - a sebastien flute - as I have shot a stylist for the last 4 years and wanted to 'up' my poundage and try something with ILF.

I was fairly well set on the extremes only because I have heard good reports and 2 or 3 people in my club are shooting them and are very positive about their performance.

However I contacted a local dealer who said he didn't stock extremes, but had a pair of border txb's. I tried them and thought they were very smooth and very fast. The guy in the shop put a chrono on the bow and with a very mixed batch of 'shop' arrows I was shooting consistantly at 200+fps.

Now I don't know how fast my stylist is, but this felt like a totally different ball game! At the moment the borders have the vote, but I would like to try the samicks.

As far as I can determine, the borders are wood and carbon whereas the extremes are carbon/foam(?)

As ever, though, I am always grateful for experiences of AIUK members, I know that many of you now shoot extremes and many borders. I suspect that many will tell me they are totally different limbs and can't be compared! Let me know what you think. Many thanks.
