Try before you buy? It's a nice idea, but...
I shoot short limbs. I want to move up a little in weight, so I called round shops asking if anyone had 42/66 limbs I could try. Did they ****. The overall attitude seemed to be "we don't stock them, we won't get them in unless you're going to buy them and pay a deposit...". I hit a similar problem last time I changed limbs - I'm just not average enough I guess.... It's not a new problem for me.
I did manage to find a set of Extremes to try, nominally the same size as my current limbs (38/66). My impression of them was favourable. They felt as good as my current limbs. I did note that they braced a little higher (order of 2mm), and weighed about a pound heavier. Sightmarks at 18m were higher, but what can you tell from that without going through the full setup process

. I couldn't clock them in the shop, as the lights were fluorescent, so I can't comment on any actual speed difference.
I shot about 3 dozen with them, and I'd say on that basis that I'd be willing to make a purchase.
I wanted to try some Hoyt M1s as well, but could I find any? "we've got 34/68..." gah!
