| I'm not sure whether or not I am answering the right question here but all bows tend to tilt back in the first inch or so of the draw. Recurves too. With the bow hand being lower than the string hand or release aid, the bow pulls into line at the start of the draw so the throat and nock area are on the draw force line. This causes the nock section to drop onto the line. This is particularly true if the archer initially holds up the bow with the string perpendicular to the ground, (with the sight extension and long rod level). A bow with forward balance may show more of a tilt back as the forward weight tends to cause the bow to tilt front down at the raising of the bow, producing more of a back rotation when drawn slightly. |
