waterproofing a glove?

Does anyone have any advice on waterproofing a leather shooting glove?

I have a beeswax preparation (marketed under the name "Sno-Seal" in Canada) that I use for just about everything in leather, but it does leave a residue and the idea of accidentally waterproofing the serving on my bowstring with beewax is, well, not very appealing...

There's a hard-core traditionalist at our club who claims he uses seal oil; no idea where he gets it but I doubt I would want to go that route either.

Would be very grateful to hear what other folks out there do to keep the leather in good shape!
