unscrewed limb bolt

I have just returned from my last chance to practise before the LAA champs this weekend. I had been shooting fairly well...but tonight disaster struck. I noticed as I set up that my bottom limb bolt was incredibly loose and seemed to have unscrewed itself quite a lot. It was a good centimetre higher than the top one. I could wind it in with my finger, so i did. I put it to roughly the same position as the one on the upper section. Suddenly when I aimed at the middle face on a 3-spot, (previously I would expect to hit within the red at least) my arrows went in the top one. I have readjusted my sight, but am worried that this may happen again. I have a horrible feeling I have done something bad to the tiller, or added weight(although it felt the same to pull). I cant alter it now til next week, but is there some way to fix it once I get it right so it can't come loose??? It's not the best way to enter a tournament, thinking your bow may fall apart at any moment!
