More sound = less energy imparted to the arrow = more shock in the arm/shoulder region = uncomfortable.
I like to hear my bow sing quietly...  | I get no shock transmission as I don't have any contact with the bow when the limbs bottom out due to correct use of a bow sling!
More sound = lighter arrows going faster than heavy ones.  I'm in one of those moods!
