exotic woods

bkupris asked for this...

"The clear glass limbs with exotic woods are really cool. Probably should be a new thread but who was the first to do this? Any replies to a new thread please."

As far as I know the exotic woods have been used for many years but not for target limbs.

I was touring the factory while Him Indoors bought new limbs, and was looking at the woods used for all the traditional bows. I asked why Border don't use them for their target limbs, and said would they make me a set? Him Indoors offered to get them for my Chrimbo. Hey presto! Not all woods work well on the more extreme expansion and contraction of target limbs.
Mine are TXGs and the veneer is just the finishing layer. Inside they are foam and carbon and all the usual woooosh that goes with it. I love them. As usual Border's service is second to none.
