On the limb adjustment point
I have yet to a see any (and it runs into 100's) international fit (IF) risers at any price break where some adjustment out of the box has not been necessary, especially although not exclusively when mixing and matching different makes of limbs and risers. IF is not a regulated standard just an ideal taken up by the manufacturers and you are right it does allow manufacturers to lower tollerances but at the same time it keeps the cost of manufacture down as well.
If your string does not run directly down the centre of each limb and the limb tips are not working in unison the bow cannot be as accurate as it should be. Thats why top archers spend time when selecting risers and limbs to ensure that they can set the limbs straight and the limb fit is tight so there is no or as little sideways movement as is possible with this design.
