Escoco dates

Unfortunately I can't get the August date for EScoco.

This shoot will, however, still go ahead but towards the end of September (by which time the rain might have stopped!!)

In order to get a feel for numbers and dates, please let me know whether a Saturday or Sunday suits most people and which weekend would be best. Feel free to vote for more than one option. Leading date at the end of the week will most likely win!

Details:
Venue: will be beecraigs country park (Beecraigs Country Park) (do a search for Beecraigs in Google Maps). Picture of the range here: Flash Earth ...satellite and aerial imagery of the Earth in Flash
there are camping/caravaning facilities (book at least 3 weeks in advance!) and barbeque pits for hire. The park is a beautiful location and includes lots of other things to see and do.

Cost: To be decided. Thinking around £10 may just about cover field hire / portaloo hire/etc/etc.

Round: To be decided but perhaps an American or a Windsor (feel free to post your preferences here, and why) - unfortunately the butts are fixed so we'll move the shooting line forward (may be possible to set up one target shorter). There are 12 butts in total.

Facilities: I could arrange to hire a barbeque pit for the evening before, or the evening of the event for an additional £5 per head - would be good to get a bit of a party going? Barbeque bits can accomodate up to 100 people, so no problem there I think There is also a lovely bar/restaurant in the park for those who prefer a sit down meal or a pint.

Accomodation: Camping/caravanning prices are on the web. Nearest towns are: Linlithgow, Bathgate and Livingston.

I will post more here when I know more!

Hi Murray, we'll be there if we possibly can. I think the first two weekends are taken up with Penicuik and Balabardie. All dates are good
Thanks for organsing it Murray, should be fun. Any round is fine by us.

I'd love to attend, but it's too near to The American and Green Park Weekend.

I/We would love to attend, but don't think we can justify another trip up to Scotland this year. Maybe next year.

I just found out this morning that I'll probably be spending the first 3 weeks in September digging a large hole in Shetland. So the first 2 dates are no good for me.

I'm doing the Field Champs on the 15th and 16th but the rest of September is free so far. Not bothered what we shoot as aslong as we shoot something!

BBQ sounds good too and probably best for after the shoot, unless people want to get away after shooting.

I'd love to come up I can't do the first weekend but the second one should be free!
Tho I might need someone local to tell me which train station to go to and then a lovely person to pick me up, unless someone from Yorkshire is driving up that is.... *hopeful face*

Murray it looks like the makings of a great event, and not too far from home! Problem is we are not closing shop for the season here until the 24th September If there is any way to wangle it we will but it looks difficult at the mo...

Go on Brian - close week early - you know you deserve it

Kellog - nearest station is Linlithgow (10 minute taxi from there to Beecraigs), next are Bathgate and Livingston (15-20 minutes by taxi). No buses to Beecraigs unfortunately.
