Even though i have only shot ~100 arrows since having three months off I am tempted to try and shoot the western, even if i have to retire in pain half way through!

It's the taking part Rhys. Shoot a few arrows, have a rest and some cake, shoot a few more, have a rest and a drink and more cake, shoot a few more...you see the pattern??

Not being GNAS, I can't enter the shoot, but myself and the daughter are going along just to meet AIUK'ers for the first time. OK, and have some cake, and the long promised Clicki hug. But I'm sure the famous Chris, Ben and Stuart pincer movement will part me from some cash in the shop as well !!!!

I know logically that an XV won't increase my scores, but I know my heart will make me suffer if I dont consider selling the kids for medical research to own one.

Be a definite If someone could ensure there would there be a 20yd target or some other kids there? Sarah is only 9 and her bow is not accurate beyond that. And I couldn't bear to tell her that her Saturday shooting is off again.

Sadly, I'm a seriously wicked father, getting my child so addicted she can't do without a fix. I had tears last Saturday, because the hairdresser was coming round, and I was servicing the car ready for the holiday. So our weekend trip to the club was off. I even got the emotional blackmail, "But daaaaaaad, it's my first competition when we get back, and I neeeeed to practise, and ask John (her coach) about some things" "what things Sarah ??" "I'm not asking you, you just nag at me, not like John".

We will shoot if we can in the afternoon, on the way back from Pines Park, just to give you all a laugh though. Now that is a sight to cheer Clicki up !!

Just depends how long it takes for Chris to empty my wallet, before he lets me out of the shop though. After all these years, he still finds new ways to outflank my defences and persuade me to spend.

Don't worry Leigh, I will deliver you know what.

P.S. after the cruel jibes about Buzz's nose Leigh, I'm thinking he should get the Thornton's, to mend the psychological damage you inflicted on him.

Clicki,
shall I get the chain mail, a couple of shields and broadswords out of storage in the loft. They can then fight it out to first blood in a truly honourable fashion?
