Escoco review

Thanks to all who helped make the shoot go amazingly well. The sun shone and there was enough breeze to make it interesting. Everyone found the range and enthused about how lucky we were to have the facility. For most of the day the sun shone through the trees, lighting up the pollen blowing in the breeze - it was beautiful at times.

We shot the American in record time, even though we had nice long breaks between distances to do the "toilet run" so once the awards were announced we did a couple of team head-to-head rounds, split into 3 teams - great fun was had by all and I think most enjoyed the experience of shooting a team event.

The barbie went great and there seemed to be enough food for everyone (phew!) - a side tournament of grass darts passed the time while Muriel, Michael and Colin got the coals lit. Michael cooked up a storm - burgers, sausages, sweetcorn and chicken was positively flying off the rack and as the sun went down and the temperature with it, everyone, suitably fed and watered made their way home.

Thanks to everyone for coming, for helping, for making it great fun.

Maybe a bit earlier in the season next year!

Photos to follow...

I have to say that Murray and Hazel did us proud. A really great day out in smashing company. The round was very gently done so I could get into using the clicker in anger so to speak.

The team shoot at the end was fascinating, giving us a small insight into pressure archery. I found it really good.

Must say thanks to Hazel for the observations and help with my shot, too.

We have a new personality with Mike Cadiz the BBQ King. His skill with the spatchela (?) has to seen to be believed!!!

Can't wait for the next one.

I am so jealous of their shooting ground: sheltered, tree lined and so peaceful. We need to have lots of shoots there next summer, Pretty please!!!!

Thumbs up

I have to say I couldn't have asked for a better first AIUK shoot. I thoroughly enjoyed it, fantastic venue and team shoots too!

Thanks to Murray and Hazel, hope it's the first of many more.

Thumbs up

just like to add my thanks to Murray & Hazel for organising. Also to Mike for doing the cooking.

It was great to catch up with everyone again, even without vast quantities of booze, it was a laugh.

I think a great day was had by all, so roll on the next one

Just back from EscoCo. What a great day Superb facilities and a fabulous BBQ in wonderful surroundings. We had a great sleep in our little tent after a night cap in the very nice restaurant at the campsite. Thanks Murray and Hazel for the superb organisation of the shoot. Please set the date for next years soon so Muriel and I can be sure to make it

What a fantastic shoot! We definitely need to have some more AIUK events at Beacraigs. Was great to see some familiar faces again and meet some new people.

Thanks to Murray and Hazel
