Current weather forecast (met office) says a wet Fita and a dry field shoot.

Maybe you should swap it round so at least you can shelter in the trees
Looks like light showers on Saturday in Montrose but at least not blowing a gale like last year

Enjoy the shoot - good luck! Rather than break a leg, perhaps we should wish you break an arrow?

Part of the fun around here is watching how wrong the weather forecast usually is Break an arrow? - darthTer has kindly offered to loan me some of his new woodies for the field shoot, what a guy

That depends on whether I've either broken or lost them all before I've finished on the practice range....

Actually, I've got some of B&Q's finest pine dowel which I made into arrows. I'm pretty sure that they can fly round corners!!!! MAybe ideal for field shooting!!!!

Darther: Might be an idea to use an arm length of plastic drainage pipe (also available at B&Q ) as a bracer so it doesn't go through your forearm or hand if one of your 'dowlies' snaps on release.

You might even get sponsored by B&Q

Unfortunately, I've already done that with one of Uller's new ones.

John,

Thanks for you concern......However, the dowels were an experienment (which didn't really work). I will keep them specially for Brian to use!!!!

Good idea about the brace though....could save clubs up and down the country a small fortune!!!! You could even incorporate a bend section for the elbow!!!

Aye I'll take the dowels darthTer. The bed you are sleeping in this weekend is falling apart. Bring your toolbox and some glue
