I must say at this point that I've never flown a model aircraft...it was one of those things I wanted to do...got all the books, read them from cover to cover, bought a plane and radio gear and then found other things to do..

Certain types of models are more prone to crashing than others...such as those that are designed to be unstable or at least as close to being so and still able to fly the thing without writing it off - aerobatics models are an example of this, those flying on the limit of their engines capabilities and *really* big models where most of the bulk is used to hold the thing together rather than get it in the air.

Trainers are generally more stable than anything else, particularly the high wing models.

Oh yeah, guys! Talk nerdy to me!!

I guess the SoCo talk has run it's course and you're desperately trying to keep the thread going. I'm still waiting for my plane ride from one of you flyboys!!!

There is a Double 70m at Eccles the day after NoCo. All you have to do is smile very nicely at Merlin when you are shooting and ask him for an arieal view of Manchester.

Sponge (Pimping Meta's shoot)

And as the official AIUK photographer, an aerial shot of the shoot might go down well

It being a weekend other people may have booked the planes though...
