does it not mean 05/06 or later? i started in june 06, so i'm covered either way for beginner/novice (i think).

Is that really all it is Click? Seems like longer....
In your case then it won't make any difference, but I'm thinking of those that began '05 - if it meant '05/'06 or later why would it not say 'after '05'? Not trying to be awkward, just trying to make sure that those that really should be in the novice section don't end up being thrashed by those that should be in the next class.

Next year, i promise, I will leave proof reading up to you lot.
You are absolutely right - the 2005/6 should have been changed, but slipped under my guard and the AUK editor as well. As this date has slipped into the mag, it must stand. So, you are in that group if you started archery since 2005/6.

I did a beginner's course in July/August 2005, but never signed up to a club or GNAS because I had to go back to the US in September. I came back in May 06 and became a club member and GNAS affiliated in June 2006, so I assume that's when it counts.

I was on the forum from April 2005 when it first started, though

It seems it matters not a jot - you're in ladies #4 either way - though I would have thought one started archery when one did the course....

And I am aware of your time on the forum - it has been a constant source of comfort to me

does it count? i did it then stopped for 11 months. i wasn't gnas in that time and was out of the country. i did rifle shooting instead and flung the occasional arrow in my small garage (all of 10 feet). i wasn't in a club or affiliated to any archery organisation. i would've thought it started when you started paying your gnas and club fees.

i'm glad you find my presence so comforting, tel

Hmm...maybe a little of both - though the latter isn't quite so true any more as you spend so much time in stealth mode
