Post an image in a thread

You will need to sign up to a remote image hosting website, like photobucket. Once you have an account at one of these websites, you can upload your images there.

What you need to do next is:

• Copy the URL
• Come back to the AIUK to post in the thread of your choice
• Click on the "Insert Image" icon (looks like a pic of a mountain) in the tool menu above the reply window
• Paste in the URL for that image and click OK
• Finish your post, click submit and job's a good'n'

If you're more web savvy, you can use image tags.

*Another way is to right click on a photo and "copy image location". Then select the "insert image" icon and paste it there.

Just a minor addendum...

There are a wide variety of sites for free image hosting. Some examples are:

Some have file size and format limits, some do not.

Note though, that if you want to retain copyright to your images, make sure you read the small print on all of these sites!

Up to 500 images a month. Microsoft's skydrive gives you 5GB storage for file sharing. Not bad for nowt!
