Cheers for that, Joe. I think I'm comparing this day out to our Co and So events, which only run at £7 and cake each.

The place sounds great and the day out sounds like a blast, but like Ruth, finding a spare £40 isn't easy for me these days, especially as I'm having to scrape together every last penny for airfare back to the US for my sister's wedding in October.

Hello All,

have returned from another heroic and fantastic day down at Robin Hood events!!!

managed to win another medal and shot some good stuff considering the wind.

I had a chat with Steve at Robin Hood and went through what we were looking to put together for a visit, unfortunately there is no room for manouver (is that spelt right?) as he explained some of the other costs involved in the process (which I hadn't even thought about) such as Arrow breakages/loss, which considering I had a good days shooting I counted 6 broken arrows I caused myself, all of which have to be costed into his day fee - completely fair enuff. (for those looking to take Provins up on his field shoot try out, hopefully me included, will I am sure see the cost of arrow loss and damage at minimum £4 an arrow I think I owe Steve money!!)

As a day out, I can assure you we would have a cracking time, and taking advantage of the organiser going free £36 is as cheap as it is going to get.

If anyone wants to move forward on this, perhaps not as soon as people were thinking, giving time for people to sort the cash out, when we get some dates, perhaps Leigh or myself can contact them and get booked.

I checked and they are open throughout the winter so it will be down to our choice.

cheers

Joe
