multi-user remember me login querystring

Mrs GA, having discovered the delights of AIUK is using my login to browse the forums. The only problem this causes is that when I login (say at work) the "new posts" filter lists uses the date/time that she last logged in.

Clearly she needs a login of her own, but since I have the "remember me" set on the login, even logging in to change login would reset the "last visited" date.

I assume that the "remember me" works via a cookie on the local machine.
How about a change so that we (mrs ga and I )can have different url's to login using our own cookie?
I think you could have a querystring extension that told the browser which cookie to lookat? Once worked out, this could be saved as a favourite or something

Umm surely if you have your own user accounts on the PC, then each user will have their own set of cookies.

2 people using the same pc (at different times) same pc user account!
Basically we can't be bothered with having seperate logins on the pc as it mucks up stuff like the email.

One pc, two separate user accounts and each user configures their email client identically so there should be no problem. only time emails may be missed is if messages are removed from server after download, check ISP settings, sending should be unaffected. We have several pc's and different user accounts on them and have no issues with our emails, my isp is sky.

If you can't be bothered having two separate log ins on your PC why should I be bothered hacking several hundred forum templates to accomodate your request?

The easiest way I can see of doing this would be to create a cookie for you, copy it outside of the normal folder and rename it to something like ga@archery-interchange.txt then create a cookie for mrs GA and move it outside of the normal folder, and call it mga@archery-interchange.txt now you create a batch file to copy the ga cookie into the correct place, renaming it to whatever its called in the first place and then launch your browser program to connect to www.archery-interchange.com. create a shortcut to this and call the shortcut ga's aiuk. repeat for mrs ga's cookie.

This method is trivial on a local machine compared to the work Dave would need to put in to do it serverside, and its certainly do-able - whether you want the hassle or not is another question. I know that multiple profiles can messup personal email accounts pretty well unless its web based mail but thats the only downside i know of- switching users can be as simple as windowskey+L

Use different browsers. That would be the easiest way to solve the problem.

One of you use IE, one of you use firefox.
