| VGP June - Number of Golds Looking at the number of golds people shot during the June VGP round, I'm not convinced that everybody is counting the same way. I was taught that when shooting a metric round it was only 10s that counted as golds. Some of the recurve archers shooting in June claimed 15+ golds which might suggest they were counting 9s as well (or shooting very eratically) as Flying Whale only had 2 golds in a score of 544. Even the top score of 632 by John KR only contained 20 golds Can anybody confirm it that it is only 10s that should be counted and secondly does it matter.

| Well said that man! We have a similar issue in Division 2 too. Most people's scores for "golds" are between 3 and 8 (10, tops) but several people are clearly scoring 9's as golds too, as they're into the high teens and low twenties which I was always taught was wrong.

| ive wondered this too looking at the people around me in schedule 3 (getting quite tight for 3rd / 4th / 5th place there right now too) imperial rounds ive counted 9s as golds metric rounds ive counted only 10s as golds i THINK im right slainte  : rob

| This has been discussed before and whilst it might not seem that important when the scores are close it can make all the difference. Perhaps the way to avoid it in the future is to separate the two at submission so it is clear what are nines and tens, then the software can decide what counts

| If a scoresheet was online to submit each arrow score, then everything could be counted up for them, and that way it'll all be correct across the board.

| Guilty as charged I'm going to put my hands up for this one. In the June round I submitted 9,s as Golds. In my defence I checked with an experienced archer at the club and went off his advice ( "What colour is a 9?" "Gold" "Then its a Gold") I've PM'd Dave and asked to have my score reduced accordingly.
