Question Can I shoot in 9's

Does anyone have any objections with me shooting my Grand Prix in sets of 9 arrows?

It would help speed things up a little especially when shooting the 12 dozen rounds, if anyone has an objection I wont do it but I can only see it as a disadvantage shooting more arrows in 1 set so thought I would ask.

I have no objection whatsoever. Its not like its world record status.

I'll only have a problem if you beat my score.....

I think it is a god idea. I only wish I had time to try and get in another York before the deadline. Mine was shot in difficult conditions, which does not help when you are no good anyway.

Good luck with it.

Don't forget though you should retire over the waiting line after each set of three arrows, before advancing back to the shooting line

Only joking, I think anyone being able to get a 12 dozen round in outside of a tournament is lucky - I wish I had that much spare time

You might overtire yourself. Getting a good set of groupings makes you want to continue. Just like gambling. But your luck can change. If you must, shoot in 6's.

Thanks for the replies, I will shoot in 3's 6's if I get too tired, I have to do the rounds on a Friday after work if I tried during a club session it would take forever, I did manage the Bristol II in about 2 hours in 6's but I still missed my daughters tennis lesson.

Unless you're lucky enough to be at a tournament in the required month, shooting the required round, then a certain flexibility is in order I think...
