First VGP

I have entered my first VGP score this weekend. I was all excited untill I relalised I was third on the leader board. Am I right in thinking the list is in order of scores but just doesnt show the actuall scores? If so then poo.
Why is this. It would be nice to see everyones score's. but then I guess it would make it more competitive. This being my first league do we get anything for placing at the end of the season?
