If i recall correctly, it's your total accumulated points divided by the number of rounds that you could have entered since the leagues inception (8). You may not have entered all of the rounds, or even have been an entrant in the league for all of the rounds.

Hi Geoff,

What Tarkwin said is right - it's the total of your submitted scores divided by the number of rounds being shot (8). It was a way of deciding league positioning; if you had the same number of points as another archer in the same league the higher average would get a higher position. This would have been fine if we'd have continued shooting Portsmouths for each round but, since we decided to shoot a FITA 18 and a Frostbite, it's a bit irrelavant as an archer who has shot 3 Portsmouths and 1 Frostbite would probably have a lower average than an archer who's shot 4 Portsmouths.

Dave

It was going to be done on average, but... as explained above the lesser scoring rounds tend to throw it out.

So..... it could be done on taking the four highest scoring Portsmouths from each archer and working out an average from them. However, If they've shot the same rounds it could be worked out from the average as it stands.

Can I suggest something regarding how you score the averages. Whatever your score in any round could be divided by the number of arrows in the round. That way the type of round is not relevant (I think - I'm new to this so I'm not familiar with them all)

Good idea psi-on but I'm a bit limited on the ol' programming skills and all that extra coding would probably make my small brain implode If there's any volunteers however...
