Well the weather forecast looks good - mostly sunny, and about 5 degrees at 9.00 am. Hopefully warming up further from then on...
Just to reiterate - if you don't know where the ground is, head for Queensway tube station. Even if you are coming by car, it's easily found in an A - Z. Note that Queensway station is actually round the corner in Bayswater Road. If you imagine yourself coming out of the station, turn 45 degrees right and you will see a pair of black wooden gates across the road. That's it! If you're driving you can drive straight in and park where indicated. If you see any police walking around with MP-5s slung across their chests, don't worry! You are now in the grounds of a Royal Palace, so just smile and wave...smile and wave...
Here it is on Streetmap - if you see the Car Park that's shown on the map, the gates you want are the next ones to the right.
Loo facilities will be available, and just in case you haven't stuffed enough cake into yourselves over Christmas, I'll bring another one. I'll also bring tea and coffee making stuff, but I've been unable to establish whether there will be any water boiling facility available. If someone could bring an electric kettle, or better still a calor gas stove and kettle, that would be brilliant. And if anybody wants to add some nibbles to the cake I'm bringing, that would also be much appreciated.
Royal Mail have not delivered the 'Special Delivery' package that should have arrived two days ago containing quiver tags, badges etc. In fact I gather that they have failed to deliver all but one of them, so at least we're not alone! Those of you who have paid for a badge will have to receive it by post later, I'm afraid.
Oh, and since there are only a few of us, it seems silly to be running a raffle!
Hopefully we'll get next year's London event organised earlier, get more participants and have a raffle and all the trimmings. The good news is that once the shoot is over, it's not far to the pub!
