Glamorgan Results

AIUK Frostbite Ironman 29 December 2007

Conditions - The weather was lovely for the first 5 doz (not too cold, bright, dry, sunny), and then it remembered where it was. Cold, wet and windy ensued, at roughly the same time as 12 yr old Thomas came out to tell me that something had fused in the clubhouse...

This is a copy/paste from my original text file. I haven't got a .pdf creator, and the DropBox won't allow the uploading of a .txt file, blast it.

So, without more ado, and probably with a complete loss of my original tab stops...

Here are the results from the Glamorgan jury

Acknowledgments

A big Thank You to the committee of Pentref Bowmen for allowing us the use of the clubhouse, equipment and land.

Thank you to everyone who came and shot, and a very special thank you to Milly's wonderful dad Phil, who came to my aid early on Saturday morning to help hammer the boss supports in after I'd discovered just how impossible it was for Araglin and me to do it on our own.

Thanks too to my sons Robert and Thomas for manning the kettles, ladling out soup and generally being there to do whatever was wanted.

And thanks to Ray Wysom, Pentref's senior coach and all-round Good Egg, for moral support.

Well done everyone!

Fran

To which I'd just like to add that those kind folk who (when I introduced myself to this forum a few days ago) suggested plausible reasons why I might be wanting to do the Ironman shoot were all quite right.

By the way if anyone needs a PDF creator and can manage without all the security features that Adobe provide with their latest versions you might want to give http://www.CutePDF.com a look. You need to install both the cute pdf writer and a PS2PDF converter such as Ghostscript. It works nicely for me ( I sometimes have to snip bits out of very large PDF files and it will do that too.)

I'll give that a look. I don't reckon I need security features - I've got enough of them on the computer as it it is.

Thanks a lot, Robert
