October Round?

Is it a Portsmouth again? 'cos we go indoors tomorrow and I'd quite like to register a score for once!

Yep, Portsmouth again this month. After this month I'll (hopefully) bring in the divisions to give everyone a chance of coming top

Also thinking about a Frostbite for December is anyone fancies it. Although I think our Australian members might have an advantage

What's a Frostbite?
Can I join in if I promise to put icecubes down my pants? (any excuse really)

Hehe, course you can Marcus but I think certain members of the board will require photographic evidence.

Basically#a Frostbite is where you pick the coldest day and go and stand in a field to shoot 3 dozen arrows at a 30m target (is it 30m or yrds? I can't remember!)

Don't forget that you should also have a freezing cold shower aimed down your back, a wind machine pointing in the direction most certain to blow the arrow off the rest, and have suitably numbed your fingers before trying to assemble your bow!

RE: October Round?

It's 30 yards, I think.

'Extreme' archery. You should get -10 from your score for every layer you wear

RE: October Round?

I'm pretty certain that it's just the 30m bit of a FITA.

RE: October Round?

Its 3 dozen at 30 metres on an 80cm target face. Yes we are all mad enough to shoot it throughout the winter.
