The score submission rules state that:

Scores must be submitted in the month in which they're shot.

...submit a score to the VGP/Winter League

It makes for a lot of unnecessary buggering about with the database if people forget to submit scores.

If you have a good excuse (in hospital with broken leg) then Im sure Dave would assist but yes if you just forgot or couldnt be bothered then boo hoo. Others managed it. However I did notice a lot have not entered this months scores. Im not aware of any server isssues last night? Maybe I will move up the rankings then.

I tend to agree with this. Everyone has the same length of time to get their scores in - unless for extenuating circumstances, why should anyone have an additional day or two advantage over the others? Maybe for that tournament they just entered and scored a new PB at...? Surely that's why we have rules?

Talking of the rankings, how do they work? There are people in my division who have lower scores than me, and yet are higher in the Div. - can anyone explain please?

hey i'm all for the rules, don't get me wrong, only managed to shoot one round in november 2 weeks back, so its not as if i am sneaking in a december round, but forget it Dave, take me out the league

I guess the thing is a score shot at the beginning of the month is submissable all the way through the month, as is any score shot during....but start allowing scores submitted after the cut-off? Becomes a bit of a farce, don't you think?

Just me being a bit crap at SQL coding! When all the scores are pulled in from the database I know the code to get them listed in descending order. The way the scores are currently pulled in and added together then divided is done as a seperate piece of code for each person in the division and I haven't figured out a way to get them listed in the right order. I'm working on it but if any mySQL gurus out there would like to offer to have a look at the code...
