AIUK Birthday Weekender HOTEL

As mentioned in the main Birthday sticky, I'm trying to sort out a block booking at Travel Inn Macclesfield North. I've been in contact with someone from reservations and they need to know:

number and type of room
number of nights

I know some of you have told me on the other thread, but can you please repeat your information here. I'd like to get this sorted as soon as possible, so if you need accommodation, please tell me ASAP.

Cheers

We have already booked - but do you think they would let us take advantage of any special block booking offers you can obtain?

I wouldn't have thought so...that's why it was mentioned though, so we could all benefit

I'll ask, but I can't guarantee anything. I can't even guarantee we'll get a discount with a block booking. I had hoped the more people interested in doing a group booking, the more chance we'd have of getting a discount.

I'm trying though.

2 people in a double room for me please, on one night (Saturday 24th). Preferably a quiet secluded one with a view ;-).

Exclamation Update

UPDATE

So far this is what I've got:

Premier Travel Inn - £50/room/night

I'm waiting for a call back from the reservations department to discuss further, so it may change, especially if we can book a block of 10 rooms. So far, I only know of six.

Also did some further checking around and found this as an alternative block booking:

Hollin Hall Hotel £65/room/night double B&B
£60/room/night single B&B

However, I think Hollin Hall might be cheaper if booked via the web (~£55).

As I said, I'm waiting to speak to the woman from Travel Inn shortly and will update as necessary. I will ask if those who have already booked the Travel Inn can be counted in if any discount is available. Hope to have this all sorted soon, so just bear with me.

Just got off the phone with Travel Inn reservations who tell me Macclesfield North is fully booked, but there are six rooms available at the Travel Inn Southwest, which is not that far away.

They can't offer any discount, so rooms are £50.

As this is our first time trying to plan accommodation, it's a steep learning curve. Perhaps if we do this again, a block can be booked ahead of time. I did not booked a block and suggest that you book rooms yourself.

Sorry I couldn't be more help.
