As this is our first time trying to plan accommodation, it's a steep learning curve. Perhaps if we do this again, a block can be booked ahead of time. I did not booked a block and suggest that you book rooms yourself.

Sorry I couldn't be more help.
I just booked (4:30pm) a double room for Saturday and Sunday night at Macclesfield North? It must be the Friday night that's full?

She told me Saturday. But maybe she meant as a block booking.

Thanks Matt.

I've just made a reservation at Macclesfield North, as well. Friday and Saturday nights online with no problem.

For those who were worried about booking a room before payday, they just take a credit card number to hold the room. You can pay by any means when you check in.

Hi
If it helps anyone the Hollin Hall isn't a million miles away from the Macc north Travel inn - if you need to arrange cabs etc.

The Hollin Hall is a Best Western and I'm sure they'd give a discount for a block booking.

Given the numbers is it worth booking somewhere for food on the Saturday night as there will be so many of us??

Whisky, I spoke to both Travel Inn and Hollin Hall about that weekend. Hollin Hall has two weddings that weekend, so there weren't many rooms left. I'm not sure what path Travel Inn lead me on, but obviously not the right one as they claimed they were booked solid.

As for booking a restaurant, I think it would be a very good idea, whisky!!
