Archery Interchange Virtual Grand Prix 2006

I'm starting to put together the competition for the summer months. I need to know what the interest is for the various bow types everyone's intending to shoot. If your bow type isn't shown above, please PM me.

Also....
Instead of just individuals, this competition will include divisions for national teams, club teams and AIUK teams. So, if you think anyone at your club would be interested, please encourage them to join AIUK.

The entry form will be posted as soon as the codings in place!

Cheers

Dave

Is this a fresh idea Dave? I thought I'd caught up on all threads but I don't recall seeing mention of this....

This is the first mention I've made of the summer comp. here. I'm still playing around with it so more announcements will be made soon. I just need to get an idea of what bow types are going to be shot so I can include them in the coding - if there's only recurve and compound entering then it makes it a lot easier

So everyone can take part, the competition will be divided into 4 shooting schedules.
It's not set in stone yet, but these are the four I've been working on.

So, I'm not sure how we'd fit the Olympic round in - does it have an equivalent at shorter distances for 2, 3, & 4?

Schedule 1:
April: St. George
May: New National
June: York
July: FITA
August: New Western
September: American

Schedule 2:
April: Albion
May: Long National
June: Hereford
July: Metric I
August: Long Western
September: American

Schedule 3:
April: Windsor
May: National
June: Bristol II
July: Metric II
August: Western
September: American

Schedule 4:
April: Short Windsor
May: National
June: Bristol III
July: Metric III
August: Short Western
September: American

Obviously all archers shooting all rounds.....willn't that complicate the issue somewhat? Just thinking that in some cases it may be easier to do the handicap replacement thing, ie shoot the round that circumstances permit and equate it to the given round via the handicap tables - works for the portsmouth postal.....

I was trying to steer clear of handicaps, Tel - too much work involved . Doing it this way you choose one schedule you're going to be able to shoot and submit the score each month, then the site takes care of the rest.

appreciate the problem Dave - just thinking that with many clubs the issue of shooting a round different to that being shot by the majority has been mentioned before, even to the extent of differentiating between 18m and 20yd!
