GNAS Tournament Locations

This year (I think) all the GNAS National Target tournaments are being held centrally at Lilleshall. Is this popular? Should all, or some, move around the country?

Re: ---

Leave them at Lilleshall, its the National Sports Centre and what better place to hold all the National Championships, plus just look at the beautiful views there are.

My only gripe of Lilleshall is the costs of camping there and the really poor facilities which have been on offer, I mean it was only a couple of years ago that we got porta loo's before that it was tree's or join the very long cues, still facilities could be much better, more suited for such a venue.

RE: GNAS Tournament Locations

Yes leave the outdoors where they are but the indoor shoots should move back to some where you can shoot a Stafford. I shot at the national indoor champs. when they were at RAF Cosford we had half a sports hanger to shoot in. Shooting in side such a large structure really gives the occasion a lift.

RE: GNAS Tournament Locations

Do you think the indoors should be a Stafford round?

although i dont shoot in tornaments yet i believe in keeping things simple also you cant please every one all the time so dont try the tournaments should be better if they are kept central and organised by the same staff with the equipment kept cental.

Where exactly are you in North Yorkshire Bald Eagle??? Lilleshall isn't that far away, but then I have no issue with travelling for something I enjoy doing!! (It took us a 5 hour round trip to go to Morpeth Archers today)

About 4 hours drive from Lilleshall, 20 miles north of Whitby, 40 miles from Morpeth, 30 from Newcastle! Didn;t our lad do well with his new bow?
