What's better between having a bow too heavy to control or the correct weight?

Surely the word technique is more appropriate than style?

The two are not mutuality exclusive! I had poor technique for ages but I was strong enough to shoot about 40ish pounds. Both my technique and my strength limit my archery at long distances, both have separate goals in order to improve them.

yea technique is a better word. unless you really meant style. If its technique or poundage, I believe the answer is obvious. Technique can give you tons of points, while poundage can only improve your score by a little.

if blokes don't shoot the ~40# needed to shoot 100yards in a York, we miss out on 648point right there!
im sure we'd all shoot perfect portsmouths if we shot 16# bows, but we wouldn't be able to shoot much else!

still, technique over poundage any day

No you wouldn't actually as to balance the bow you'd need to have a low mass weight too. Therefore stabilisation is difficult and it wouldn't keep steady.
