When did you last have your eyes tested?

After having my eyes tested last week I can confirm I am not blind as suspected by some of my club mates but its less than a year since the last one and they were ok then!
So I was a bit surprised when told they had changed so drastically almost to the point I didn't believe it. That was until I went back to the club after the test and realised I can't actually see the ten ring on a Portsmouth face, I really though I could. After 3 dozen my eyes have been wandering Ive been loosing balance and Ive been blaming a sinus infection that Ive had.
So the questions are how good do you think your eyes are? What can you really define at 20 yds and more importantly answer the poll and say when was the last time you had your eyes tested?

I have not had my eyes tested in about three years and am trying to get an appointment at the moment. I refuse to go near D&A because they would not give me an appointment for myself and the children between 9am and 3:30pm in the mid term break week because it was deemed school hours. The whole concept of mid term break week just would not sink in

I know my eye sight is getting worse, but as I cannot wear contacts and don't wear glasses while shooting it does not have to great an impact on my scores. I have accepted the fact that I aim at a very fuzzy yellow splodge.

Glasses...

I've been wearing them since I was a kid. I have my eyes tested every 2 years, whether I think they need testing or not (everyone should, they can pick up on all kinds of things early, such as glaucoma, and diabetes). I don't always need new glasses, though. I also have a basic eye test every year through my works medical health check.

I had my eyes tested 2 and a bit months ago and need new glasses but due to only a slight change and the cost I'll make do a little bit longer.
I usually get them done every 18 - 24 months.

Question

So what about if I've had my eyes tested in the last year but I don't need new glasses (i.e. the ones I have are fine)?

I had new varifocals last time I went (within a year) - still take my glasses off to read a book though. Both children went a couple of weeks ago and both had new glasses - my daughter for the first time as she was complaining of not being able to see the board properly at school. I had my first pair when I was about 10 so 40plus years of wearing the things. We support our local optician or ophthalmologist or whatever they call themselves nowadays.

Well far be it for me to influence your vote but you'll have to vote in the category you suggested as tested but no new required!

Likewise - seems my eyes change every 2 to 3 years, so ok this time round (keep the same pair of triple varifocals).

Like to vote for that, but that aint there - it reads "dont need glasses" not "dont need new glasses". Do you need to go get your eyes tested??
