recurve archers - whats your stab setup ?

as kind of a summation of all the current threads about stabilising a recurve bow i thought wed have a little poll to see what the most common setups were

as well as voting it would be cool if you could post and say WHY thats the stab setup youve gone with

Use a full beiter set-up with the 3/4" extender and a Cartel Dampener back weight. Don't really know why... It just worked.

Beiter extender, 'V', twins & longrod. Fomax damper top, cartel damper bottom rear.
After identifying (having it identified for me actually) a stabiliser based problem with my last bow I borrowed as much kit as I could and played around with every combo I could think of until I settled on the above as being the best feel. Although I never found a similar problem with the next bow it all migrated over - perhaps I should try it without and see if it comes back!

Cartel longrod with a-bomb doinker
Cartel Twins with dinky doinkers
Merlin QD V bar
Merlin active balance 5" extender on its way

i originally bought the cartel stuff to get a full setup on a budget, and even though i can now replace them if i wanted to, i havent because now i have them balanced perfectly with the weights, im loathe to change unless something breaks the only thing im changing is the cartel 5" carbon extender for a Merlin AB one thats on its way. The extender seems to be a little too flexible and having seen the Active Balance ones in the flesh they are solid as a rock and heavy duty, exactly what im after for the base point of the assembly.

ps i think i clicked the wrong option meant to be longrod V bar and twins

28" HMC longrod with single Easton cap weight and doinker
10" HMC twins with single Easton cap weight
3" extender (might get a longer one)
Ca***el V-bar (want a W&W carbon one)

It works for me, although I'll soon start shooting compound which will just be a longrod and possibly a single side (depends on how well it balances).

Not sure of the make of the V-bar though

I shoot this set up because it give the bow reaction i like. I stumbled onto it when i was shooting and trying to get a decent dynamic reaction to the shot and this seems to work for me

I like the balance, action and feel it gives

And it looks fab on my grey winact as well (which is of course much more important)

I actually have a 59 Caddy and twin Vespas, but that wasn't a choice. The closest was long rod/v bar/twins.

i found similar.

i used to use a bread stick longrod (doinker porkpie damper) with 2 cocktail sticks with cheese and pineapple as vbars. not much use in the rain though and i do like cheese.....
