Unfortunately many perceive that archery is a nice sport with only nice people participating, on the whole that is true but there are a few who will push the limits of fair play.

As the one who usually gets stuck with scoring, I can't help but notice. Plus, I take an interest in how my target mates are shooting so I can praise them or boost their spirits if they're not shooting well.

How can you NOT notice????

In Vegas... 2 archers write down the scores.. 1 calls ALL the scores whilst the remaining archer checks the call!! Works great

Here here Clicki - how could you ignore your target partners arrows?

we always have a chat about where they all fell as a group when we shoot a club tourney.

Bit different at a club shoot - I know a few who would get very impatient if a target started to have a chat about how they were doing after each end at a tournament.

I misinterpreted the title as I answered from the home screen, I thought we were talking to paying attention to arrows in the target while we are shooting I try and ignore arrrows other than my own and just shoot, but I "sometimes" cant help looking to see how well the others are doing.

The Question For paying attention while scoring is Yes.

There's no point, all it can do is put yourself off.

yeah, sorry - obviously a badly phrased question....
What I was after was when you're at the boss and the scores are called are you as an archer wrapped up in your own scores, or are you checking to see if a target companion is being a bit self-lenient?

I pay attention to the scoring, mainly because on the few shoots I have done I have ALWAYS ended up as the scorer. But I then pay no attention to the scores themselves (if that makes sense) as I am only shooting against myself

I always check the other archers arrows each end, but I don't like looking at the running scores, this is mainly because I don't like knowing what I'm scoring.
