There is a tool you can buy, but get a small screw and screw it in the hole in the middle of the nock and pull it out. that's if it's broke flush to the shaft.

Beiter Overfits. Why because I fancied them plus the glow well so easier to see. Worried about smashing arrows the stop practicing and dont get any better. Or do what I do and just miss our own arrows.

Beiter started making Surgical Equipment out of the famous Blue Plastic. This is why they are so precise and tolerances are better then most and why the early products were always in that blue.

interesting that this guy gets through so many when he can't get them in the shafts in the first place....
The subject of nock-fit in triples has been discussed many times and I can only say that the most I've ever had to do is bite the beiter to make it more snug in the 400/500 shafts I've used (making the nock shaft very slightly oval).
And before anyone start ranting that this shouldn't be necessary I've done the same with g-nocks in ACCs, and have just done the same thing again with Beiters in ACEs - all of them!

PTFE tape is the best thing to use to help with loose nocks. I thnk that beiter recomend this method as well (dont quote me on that). Biteing a nock will distort the shape and potentially damage the structual integraty and make it more likely to break on impact.

Schme - Whilst I'm sure that is true in a perfect world I doubt it makes any real difference. The point I was making was that, whatever the method you choose to use, adjustment can be necessary regardless of manufacturer.

Agreed. My dad use to cut groves in the shaft to spread the nock and make it fit tighter. Im more of a perfectionist so dont do this personally. After having a fletch come off at a FITA a couple years ago whilst shooting compound, the arrow hit a low white at 70mts. Since then I take no chances with equipment failure.

Find a fine threaded self taping screw just slightly bigger than the hole in the nock, in the past I have used the ones with an eylet as it's easier to hold. A cork screw will be too big.

Take the pile out, then push it out from the other end with a peice of solid wire. Uou can carefully straighten out a wire coat hanger.
