Nock options...

I am considering getting some Easton Navigators or Cartel Triple arrows in the near future....

What are peoples views on the various Nocks that are available??
What are the main differences between - Performance/Durability etc??

Why did you opt for pin nocks over Beiter in/outs etc.

If you opted for "Other" please state what your using and why.

Thanks

I opted for Beiter inserts in my Navigators because Beiter nocks always seem to fit the string better than other nocks, and are very consistent. Plus, you can get them in a lovely transparent blue. They'll usually deflect a back-ender, though not always:

I use Beiters and G nocks, they are lighter and cheaper than pin nocks.

My main reason for choosing Beiters is that I also use a Beiter nocking point.

They're also durable and pretty good at saving the ends of shafts. I'd consider giving pin nocks a go but only if I could get Beiter pin-outs to fit

I've always used Beiter inserts in Triples, but am about to go with the in/outs to see if they help prevent the damage illustrated above One other reason for using them is because I like to use a Beiter nocking point.

Beiter in my opinion make by far the best nock but unless they start making ones to fit pins I must use other makes.
I did use Easton pin nocks but at £8 a dozen they were getting expensive so i now use the MAC pin nock from Merlin and although the quality is not on par with the easton product they are still of high enough quality for all but the very best and maybe even ok for them?

At just over £3 a dozen the MAC's are excellent value and even a bad session at the club now only results in around an additional cost of £1 compared with nearly £3 with easton nocks.

As you have probably gathered I would never want to shoot an arrow that does not have pins. They are worth thier weight in gold and have saved so far at least 2 or even 3 dozen smashed arrows from rear strikes.

pins.
They have saved so many of my ACEs, they have paid for themselves many, many times over.
I used to use Cartel triples with Beiters, but smashed eight shafts in half a season. Much better protection now from the pins.

I love the short ears on the easton pin nocks, effective brace height range is increased as a result, however I have ordered some of the new Beiter pin/out nocks for my X10's to afford even greater impact protection.

As i shoot plat plus arrows i dont think i have much choice except to use g-nocks
Although when i get carbons i will probably use pin nocks as i've seen them save quite a few fellow club members' navs
And ive seen what happens to carbons when they dont use pin nocks e.g. a robin hood at the DCAS indoor champs
