| I was a target recurve shooter, and may be again one day, but I've made the switch to barebow for now and I couldn't be happier. The plan is to shoot my trusty PSE Intrepid with Border TX40 Gold limbs for FITA Barebow and sometimes NFAS. However, I will be ordering a Border Black Douglas in the near future for field shooting. |

| I shoot a 1-piece hunter recurve (Martin X-200, 35# at 28"), shot Hunting Tackle/Hunting Style (depending if you're talking NFAS or EFAA). So no sights, stabilisers, buttons, clickers or anything. Under GNAS I think it's I think they refer to it as "Recurve Traditional". For some odd reason GNAS only seem to recognise that style for field, not target shooting (according to that wonderful and easily readable tome - Rules of Shooting).

| I shoot something called a recurve that is just about falling apart but still does the archery job |

| I shoot recurve about 98% of the time... The other 2 percent is shared between Barebow and one of my club members compound bows that i shoot occasionally (mainly to remind me why i stick to recurve)

| Reminders Try limited compound sometime and keep you tab. |

| hmmm I love shooting recurve and with my ACCs I might actually have a chance of hitting the 90 and actually piercing the paper! But I have a compound that is hidden in a cupboard and one day will be unleashed on an unsuspecting world ![]()

| I generally shoot recurve, but if I need a bit of a change, or just want to shoot without the usual pressure of 'expected' scores, then I give my longbow a go. It is a bit weak howver (made it myself from a Quicks kit about 14 years ago, then a fellow club member 'tried' it and the hickory back split across in a couple of spots. I didn't dare shoot it till I came back to shooting afer the kids were grown enough, and then glued he weak bits back, patched it with a strip of leather and bound the whole bit with kevlar (hey it was handy). Shoots OK, but the shape is not wonderful. My second attempt broke during tillering, and the third is still in the throws of manufacture). |
