What type of bow do you shoot?

If you shoot more than one type of bow you can tick extra boxes. If your bow type isn't shown, feel free to add the option.

RE: What type of bow do you shoot?

I'll shoot anything I can lay my hands on!

I mainly shoot Olympic-style recurve, but I also shoot compound and AFB. I'm wondering whether to get a longbow next or save towards a flashier recurve...

RE: What type of bow do you shoot?

Like you I shoot everything I can but mainly olympic recurve. I find after shooting my L/B which is a brute that stacks like mad, my R/c scores drop for a session or two as my r/c technique has errors creep in. However the long bow crowd are a good bunch and are great company. Try shooting L/b at a field shoot or a clout. You may not hit anything but with a long bow who cares.

RE: What type of bow do you shoot?

I shoot 90% olympic recurve, the remainder is made up with barebow with very a nice Border Mirage. I have tried compound in the past, but very quickly developed target panic and couldn't release the damn thing.

25 years#of recurve to all levels, now in my 6th year of compound.

Both are great disciplines, each have their own special requirements, both cost us all too much, but they are fun (well I spend money to do it so it must be fun )

RE: What type of bow do you shoot?

I shoot recurve. Considered going into both compund and longbow once but decided to stick with recurve. Very happy I did too.

RE: What type of bow do you shoot?

I mainly shoot English Longbow, but occasionally shoot Olympic style recurve, barebow, compound, AFB, or even mongolian recurve with a thumb-ring. I have been known to pick up a crossbow now and then but don't tell any one!

RE: What type of bow do you shoot?

I shoot a Scythian bow with thumb ring a most enjoyable challenge which is very rewarding when things go right.....now and then.
