I'd be perfectly happy if they just added black to the list of accepted bottoms.

Then I:
  • wouldn't look like an idiot going to a competition
  • wouldn't have to try and find my one pair of skin coloured pants when I go to a competition
  • wouldn't get visibly covered in mud
  • wouldn't worry about getting rained on and my trousers going see through
  • would actually be able to find a pair of trousers to shoot in in less than a day's shopping
  • could now own two pairs of useful trousers, rather than one pair of trousers and my whites
  • could shoot in trousers that fit

(although I have just dyed my trousers what i hope is the right green (dylon 09) and have removed some of those problems... Where can you find what the right green is btw?)

Black's not going to distract anyone and is easy to find (and in all sizes). We've certainly had many of our novices who've not come to competitions because they'd have had to get a new pair of trousers, and haven't wanted/been able to do so.

Nearly everyone was in waterproofs today. Should we all be made to wear green waterproofs, matching tops and bottoms obviously!

Wish I could have been there - in mind. It was very windy, knew those beans were a bad idea, made worse by waterproof trousers holding it all in

wrong type of gas and the elastic bands weren't tight enough around my ankles. Also think the hot air coming out of my gob acted as a safety valve Seams like our shoot was a bit more jockular than the one at Abbeydale which I had meant to enter and am now glad I didn't

I think Black would be Ok. The problem us Men have is getting white/green trousers. It winds me up when my wife can just walk into M&S and get a pair of white Jeans off the rack. Back in the 80`s I could get white Jeans, but back in the 80`s I was a size 36 wast - how fashion (and waistlines change!)

Not that I've gotten that far yet, but do they have do be formal(ish) white trousers or will white jeans or combats do?
