Ahhhhh! Don't freak me out like that, Barry - I was just contemplating launching myself out the attic window instead of doing this mind numbingly boring bit of artwork when you're message arrived right in front of me via email subscription reminder....

I'll start to look into it a bit more....

Been a bit busy with exams and the like recntly but though you all might like an update on this hot potato.

I discussed (well, more moaned and bitched a lot) the matter with Ann Shepherd the other week and I am informed that the status quo is a result of votes from the then target committee. If we want to show our dissatisfaction with the situation we should write to Mike Shepherd in his capacity as GNAS ‘big wig’ – writing to the magazine will get you nowhere at all. I have Mikes email address (and would want to let him know what is happening out of respect to him) but how about us all (those that are unhappy) writing an email showing our dissatisfaction – as individuals and not forum members, so we keep AIUK out of the matter.

What do you all think?

So the letters page isn't worth a letter? And the polls run on AIUKs 900ish membership aren't worth considering? Better then that we send hundreds of individual communications that are bound to get read......

I see your point and although you were being sarcastic, unfortunately your statement is exactly right......if they don't want the fuss your letter will cause, it won't get into AUK. If GNAS are scared or at least apprehensive about forums and the web, any electronic petitions sent from AIUK on behalf of X hundred members is equally easy to ignore.

At least with individual emails it's alot more deleting

He'll know it was you from the use of the crayons! You know well youre not allowed to use anything sharp since the last incident.

Perhaps if we address them to his tractor we're more likely to get a response?

Looks like apathy rules here????

Okay for those of you who've never heard of anyone having problems with judges for wearing the wrong shake of green, now you have!

Was at penicuik this weekend and was told my trousers 'did not comply with the regulations'. the judge took my name and club and told me that if i shot in scotland again and turned up not wearing the correct dress code then i would not be allowed to shoot.

Now for those who'd like to see my trousers are this shade of green

the rule says 'plain dark green'. This obviously isn't dark enough!

This is precisely the reason a dress code is plain stupid. I wonder is there are any GNAS lurkers here? But then again I doubt they would care to use a electrical devil number machine.
