| We have our own Field and I have a Key to the Equipment Lockup, I can shoot what and when I want, the club does shoot at least 7 organised rounds through the summer.

| We nearly always shoot a round on club days -- National, Long National and Junior National is usual for outdoors, Portsmouth for indoors. There are, of course, days when we just fancy flinging arrows without worrying about scoring, but those are the exceptions. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| We shoot a round every Sunday, with variations to suit all levels of archer. Friday is a practise day, but lots of members also opt to shoot a round then as well. Ad hoc days (usually Saturday) are "try out" days to do some tuning, have a go at a longer distance etc. but again, if you want to shoot a round, the option is there. Kev |

| best of both worlds here if someone wants to shoot a full round they can or if someone wants to just work on shooting form they can

| I voted for not scoring, but really, outdoors the field is set up with 3 bosses at 40, 50 & 60yd/m depending on requirements for weekend competitions and sight marks etc. A further 1 or 2 bosses are set up at 100yd, with distances marked for York/FITA rounds. One or two club members shoot rounds on club night, but generally, most get their sight marks and just practice the distances. Mick

| We have our own Field and I have a Key to the Equipment Lockup, I can shoot what and when I want with a partner, the club does shoot at least 7 organised rounds through the summer.with a monthly competition. Roundsare sometimes shot on club nights,Nationals and short metrics seem popular. FITA and York rounds (long distance) are unpopular. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||

| I suppose another thing I am curious about is how long people shoot at one session and how fast you are able to shoot a round, if you shortcut some of the usual shooting procedures (like always shooting 6 arrow ends, rather then 3 + 3, for example). I shot the long distance part of a York on Saturday morning and just managed 6 Dozen in a little over 3 hours, allowing for the time it took others on the line to find arrows in the grass, and to go at the speed of the slowest shooters. Are there those out there who regularly make a day of it to shoot a 12 dozen round?

| I shot My Windsor for the Grand Prix on a Friday Afternoon on my own in 1 1/2 hours, We shot the club round Short Metric and only 3 peeps in about 2 1/2 hours, A 12 Doz round with a few people would be a good 5 or 6 hour event.

| We always shoot full rounds, but there is always the option for people to just practice if they don't want to shoot the round.
