| Poll (of sorts) - What message with the flowers for Mel? Hi chaps, I'll be organising getting some flowers sent off for Mel Clarke (see this thread in case you missed why: Disabled archer assaulted), but I'm really not sure what to put on the card. So I'm opening the floor for suggestions. What do you think? | |||||||||||||

| I think in these situations, it's best to leave it short and sweet, and great if we can fit in something about archery, signed from her friends at AIUK.

| I agree Clicki, but I'm useless at such messages and I'm hoping for some more input here, such as suggestions for exact wording. Come on guys ![]() | |||||||||||||

| How about: "To one admired archer from eight hundred and seventy-eight others, who all hope to see you on the shooting line before too long!"

| Perhaps thunk could get a job with Hallmark in the archery greetings cards division! In all seriousness, though, I was thinking about Mel's situation and I imagine there may be occasion in the future when we may need to pass around the hat for someone else. Perhaps once we've bought flowers and a card for Mel, we keep the remainder in - and I've joked about this before - a Benevolent Archers' Fund. That way we have something to hand if we need it and then we can do a whip round as and when. What do you all think?
