what kind of sight pin do you use?

im thinking of getting a glow pin. i have a circular pin with non-glowing orange dot which is great for indoors with concentric circles but not so great for outdoors aiming off in the wind where i cant see the little orange dot. what do you folks do/think?

I've got a Shibuya pin, the ones that come with a 6" fibre optic. Which snaps with monotonous regularity. So I now shoot with a tiny ring, in the middle of a normal sized ring. If the middle ring is gold then I'm happy to loose

I have a beiter ring and multiple inserts...but keep going back to shooting without an insert, giving a simple ring.

I use a Beiter sight pin with a clear insert and a red 1.5mm glo rod.

I have a few glo rods of different lengths so that I can choose the brightness of the dot depending on conditions.

Like Tarkwin I tried a whole load of others but for me I found that they obsured to much of the target. My second choice would be an open ring

Cartel thing from Altservices - dunno which, it's about 3 quid. Snapped the pin out, filed down what was left so it was a nice even circle, dipped the whole thing in a tin of flourescent orange paint.

Mint.

Titan recurve, tiny black circle stuck on the lens for outdoors. Slightly larger black circle for indoors. Works a treat.

I have a shibuya ultima - the sight pin is renowned for snapping off (hence why it tells you not to touch the ring itself). Anyway, I swapped mine for a SMALL metal ring with no pin etc... I have been told on numerous occassions to use as big a sight pin as I can find but it just doesn't work for me!

Beiter sight tunnel with crosshair insert. Pins always seem to obscure the bit I'm aiming at, the crosshair seems to work well inside and out.

Mint.

I use a cartel rings with the pin snapped out too. So far they've been left black, but I like the idea of flourescent orange, or maybe phosphor green.
