| I generally prefer to buy in-store, but i shoot triples and so buy them on-line, and you can often get a better deal 2nd hand from another archer you know...

| I bought my bow on ebay. I know this wasn't that good an idea, but it turned out to be fine, and I only had the child benefit to spend... Rachel | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

| It's difficult for me to comment, as I get a lot of my stuff second hand, occasionally 2nd hand from Aardvark, and through people I know. I also use ebay quite a bit. So, a combination of all four really.

| Nocks I buy new, from Quicks at the moment by virtue of the fact that some of them shoot at the same club as me and can bring it along... like mail order but without the inconvenient postage charge. Otherwise, pretty much all of my kit is second hand. Stuff in my current setup I've actually bought new - nocks, fletches, sight pin, tab.

| I use Quicks, Bowsports etc online for items I can't get locally, and the local shop for heavy items like bosses and for the bits and pieces I want that they DO have. I bought my first bow second hand, and my current one from Quicks in person, after trying it first. I've also used eBay now and again (bowcase, fletching jig) if the price was right ![]() Why limit yourself to one source? ![]() |

| Depends what I'm buying. Smaller items, then net/mail-order - e.g. the bracer Lez just made and sent me! It's a lovely bit of leatherwork!!! Now I just need to get a quiver to match!!! But even for big items (like my X200) research will be done on the net before deciding where to go to buy (and what to buy for that matter) - be that manufacturers, retaillers, forums. Not sure I'd buy a bow any other way but in person. If it's personal - then personal is the only way to buy.
