| To a certain extend its all related, but for me the two that stand out are 1) arrows that can tune to the bow and 2) practise. | |||||||||||||||

| I would say arrows.... but only if you buy them from LMP! Rachel

| I'd say practice first, then practice, then after that practice, and perhaps then practice....... ![]() With a little coaching advice along the way!

| Surely Rachel, the critical thing is to buy arrows that have been trained to hit the gold.

| Linecutter, do you honestly think LMPs arrow would dare to do anything but hit the gold!? Rachel

| FWIW I've found that apart from practice, the one thing that's helped me achieve decent grouping (or rather, BETTER grouping) are the long rod and stabilisers. OK, so my groups are about 12" @ 50yds at the moment, and mostly in the blue and red, but the number of times I'm playing "hunt the arrow in the grass" is becoming significantly less and less. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| I agree with the other posters who say practice is important - but only if you practice consistently. For me the biggest advance came when I started using a clicker. It forces consistency in draw length which has a knock-on effect on stance, release etc.

| The first 'good' set up after the beginers course. After what you are given to shoot, you buy a complete set up that you feel good about the tab is comfy you just got the hang of the clicker on the bow, the draw weight is right and the bow feels good in your hand. Stabs you realise are a good thing, the things you have been taught in the classes start to make sense. | |||||||||||||
