| In all seriousness, does anyone have an illustration or photo of these hooks?

| The picture on the right shows the string in the 1st joint, yet the desciption states that it should between the 1st and 2nd joints. Not very helpfull The picture posted early in the thread is whats regarded as a deep hook. |

| I could not shoot like that. By the time the string had got to the end of my fingers the bow would be out of the valley and ramping up to 60 lbs OUCH. As for finger stress I never noticed any. That's the way I have always done it from back when you needed a very clean loose and 40lbs and the sight on the back of the bow to make 100yds with 1816 arrows and a 28 inch draw. |

| Re Morphy Micks diagram of a deep hook. From what I have seen on the videos of top shooters at the Olympics, not one of them uses a hook like that . Have a look at these photos and compare them with the diagram referred to by MorphyMick. These are from the 2004 Olympics: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() You'll find lots more photos on the FITA website on this page: http://www.archery-gp.de/athens2004/...s/pictures.htm |

| Thanks for posting those. I was beginning to worry that mine was all wrong. In order to me to get anything like a deep hook, I'd have to use my second joint as my first joint hardly bends at all. And not a spot of any shade of green to be seen...refreshing! Love the Korean's chest guard in the 6th photo down, too.

| One other controversial thing that all of these photos appear to show is the in spite of using finger spacers on their tabs, does it not appear that all of these archers are experiencing nock pinch? It does to me, which makes me wonder why I am wasting my time trying to keep my fingers away from the nock. ![]() |
