| Thanks to all who have contributed. It would seem that we would not wish to rush into calling a problem, "target panic" until there was clear evidence. It would also seem that it should be talked about rather than kept secret so long as the talk didn't "pass it on " to others who could otherwise avoid it.
At present, I feel, poor treatment in the past, has given TP a reputation for being almost incureable. My recent experiences seem to indicate that with sound treatment it can be less of a permanent problem. Yes, it is serious when you are suffering from it, but it can be sorted. Thinking you have it and carrying on, would seem to be a good way of making it harder to resolve. I wish I had been able to get help 14 years ago. My help came from this forum. It was dealt with over the internet.Others have had similar results, too. In a nutshell, it was a matter of replacing something "wrong" with something "right". The "right" was so different that it made the transition easier.
Perhaps when an archer has TP, it should be talked about in the same manner as other important issues, rather than as a unique problem or incureable disease. I am not saying it should be played down and treated as something trivial. But, I don't think it should be made up to be worse than it is. |
