Bow for field archery

What is the primary bow type you are currently using for field archery?

Oooh, that's awkward, I currently use a starter Ragim recurve, but I'll be getting myself an AFB within the next month. I've voted AFB as that's what my primary bow will be.


(But what I really want is a longbow )

English Longbow. I'll use a mongolian recurve occasionally when it's too cold to take my longbow out, but I always miss with it!

On the rare occasions I go out in the field I shoot an old Oneida H250 compound and of course I shoot off fingers.

I'm a recurve shooter for target, but I'll be shooting compound limited on my big return to field (after 14 years) at Riggwelter. My thinking (perhaps naiive) is that I'm less likely to miss completely with compound limited than with other bow types.

I only have one bow, the above olympic recurve.

Loved it, and unsighted I was ok with it.

Currently "other", because Olympic bow doesn't cover barebow

At some point I will get a Black Douglas for field shooting, but that will have to wait longer than I thought

Only shot field once. Used my longbow rather unsuccesfully.

Which compound are you going to use TJ?
