The way media used to work was things got reported in the local press, if it created interest this was picked up by the bigger press and it went up the chain, pretty much the same with radio and television. Unless you can prove there's interest at local level then there's not much chance of producers including it in programmes at national level.

i voted no for this poll on the grounds that ok publicity is always a good thing, however the knock on effect is that club coaches get overwhelmed with people wanting to try archery. This happened in our club and the result was that the coaches just stopped doing coaching and that create bigger problems, I think nowadays some people are very pro getting the public involved in the long term but we can often forget to tell the people that are doing the hard work.

It was a good idea but unfortunatly I did have a feeling thats all it would be. Plus I just wanted to be on the radio.
