Yorkshire is a problem :. It's much too big. Some people who live here even stay in Yorkshire when they go away on holiday, and still get a complete break. You can drive for hours and still be in the same county. Compare, eg, Cheshire, a nice compact county So how can we hope to organise, for instance, a county squad that is available to archers from: White Rose; Whitby; Hull Circle; Abbeydale? What is the point of having a county that is bigger than a small Country?

Texans would have you believe that there is no finer, or bigger piece of land in the entire world than Texas. Out in west Texas you have never seen so much sand and no sea. Looks like Cleethorpes at low tide.
